Who is Community Crier Online meant for?
Community Crier Online was originally designed for small municipalities as a means to distribute messages to a community. However, the facilities that it provides can be used by any type of organization, espicially non-profits.
Do my users have to pay for your service?
No. Community Crier Online is designed around a "free for users" model, which means that the organization pays for the service, and community members sign up and use the service at no cost.
Are my community members required to sign up to receive alerts?
Signup allows users to receive alerts via Email and Text Messages (or SMS). However, non-registered users can still see alerts through RSS, by following your organization on Twitter, and by checking the "Recent Alerts" page on your portal.

Do I need to buy any expensive hardware to run Community Crier Online?
No! Community Crier Online runs under the "Software as a Service" model, which means that we host it, maintain it, upgrade it, and support it so you don't have to worry about anything except sending out alerts.
Is Community Crier Online secure?
Yes. Community Crier Online was developed using proven web framework that considers security a top priority. In addition, this service is hosted in a secure data center.
Can I restrict the sending of alerts to certain people?
Yes! Community Crier Online gives your excellent control over who does what. You can allow certain people or groups of people to send to certain alert categories, create templates, etc. All of this is controlled by an easy to use permission interface.
What's the difference between the Portal application and the administration application?
The Portal application refers to the part of the system that your community members use. The administration application refers to the part of the system that you and your facility use to send out alerts.
Can I upload my organization's logo to appear on the Portal?
Yes! You can upload a custom image to appear on the portal and choose between many of our predefined color themes, or create your own. In addition, if you have a web development staff, they can upload a custom Style Sheet to completely control the look of your Portal.
Can I send phone messages?
Community Crier Online has the ability to generate phone messages. However, at this time this service is on a case by case basis and additional costs will occur. For a consultation, please email sales@communitycrieronline.com.
